Triggers
Booking created, before check-in, during stay, before check-out.
Automation runs when a trigger fires for a reservation. Each trigger type is configured separately (on/off, timing).
booking_created
- When — When a new reservation is created or first synced into PingTeo.
- Use — Welcome / confirmation message: thank the guest, confirm dates, point to check-in info later.
- Timing — Usually sent once, shortly after the booking exists. You may set a short delay (e.g. minutes) to avoid sending at 3 AM.
before_checkin
- When — X days before check-in, at a set local time (e.g. 2 days before, 10:00).
- Use — Check-in instructions: key/code, address, parking, WiFi, contact.
- Config — “Days before” (e.g. 2) and “Time” (e.g. 10:00 in the property’s time zone).
during_stay
- When — X days after check-in (e.g. 1 day after arrival), at a set time.
- Use — Mid-stay message: “Hope you’re enjoying your stay,” how to reach you, reminders if needed.
- Config — “Days after check-in” and “Time.”
before_checkout
- When — X days before check-out, at a set local time (e.g. 1 day before, 09:00).
- Use — Check-out instructions: time, what to do (keys, trash, etc.), thank-you.
- Config — “Days before check-out” and “Time.”
Enabling triggers
In Properties → property → Automation, you’ll see one block per trigger. Turn each on and set template, days, and time as needed. Only enabled triggers run.
